When do cats stop growing

A cat's growth continues until it is 12 to 15 months old, i.e. until it reaches adulthood. However, the time of sexual maturity may vary between breeds.

‌Common cats reach sexual maturity at around 8 to 10 months of age, but the development of the skeleton and internal organs and the final shaping of the body may continue until 12 months or slightly later, i.e. around 15 months. After that, the cat's body length, height, etc. basically remain the same, and only the weight will change due to differences in food intake.

Due to the relatively late maturity of the Munchkin, its growth may continue until it reaches 18 months or later, that is, it will not stop growing until it is about 2 years old.

During the growth and development period of the cat, the owner needs to pay attention to‌ reasonable feeding‌ and choose a nutritious kitten food to meet the nutritional needs of the cat during its growth process. At the same time, pay attention to‌ controlling the amount of food‌ to prevent the cat from gaining weight due to overeating, which will affect its health.

If you have more questions about your cat's health and growth and development, it is recommended that you consult a professional pet doctor or pet nutritionist.
